Kevin Salazar

Jaswinder Singh

Village Sarpanch (Leader)

"The England based project for waste treatment has immensely benefitted the village primarily on account of environmental benefits. Initially the huge heaps of waste (straw) were being burnt causing pollution however with this new cutting edge technology not only has the pollution been controlled since it is no more being burnt, but also the diesel being generated from the waste is used as an input for supplying electricity in the local government school and also used as a fuel. Hence this waste treatment technology is benefitting environmentally as well as economically through a productive use of waste. We are very happy for the arrival of the project"

Kevin Salazar

Dhanwant Kaur

Teacher, Government School

“The energy harvest project that was implemented in the village for pilot testing proved very beneficial. To limit the level of pollution caused due to open burning of straw, this experiment was highly successful. There was no prevision of electricity in our school. The electricity from the system was used to provide electricity to our school and thus there was relief from hot summers for the school children. This is a very good solution for Punjab and the farm waste is used for energy production and also it prevents the air pollution”
